Principal’s Message: Academic Achievement Update

Dear Wrightwood Families,

As the principal, my foremost role is to serve as the instructional leader of our school, and I am thrilled to share that our academic achievements at Wrightwood are a true testament to our mission. Our community—families, students, staff, and local supporters—demonstrates an unwavering commitment to academic excellence. Thank you for entrusting us with the opportunity to fulfill this purpose daily. The data reflects our hard work and progress.

On Monday, October 28, 2024, the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) released its latest school report cards and designations, and we have exciting results to celebrate:

• CICS Wrightwood has been designated as COMMENDABLE (an improvement from last year’s targeted designation).
• CICS Wrightwood is outperforming schools in our surrounding neighborhood.
• CICS Wrightwood achieved the highest percentage of growth within the entire CICS network.
  

Let’s keep this momentum strong as we continue to grow and prepare our children to be academically, socially, and emotionally successful! Our target for the next two years is an EXEMPLARY rating, and I am confident we are on the right path to achieving it.
