School Counseling Department Mission
Our mission is to provide an exceptional and inclusive learning experience where all students feel they belong, and have equitable access to a comprehensive, data-driven school counseling program. The program aims to help all students develop a healthy love and respect for themselves and others, the ability to make responsible decisions, and a goal-focused, positive mindset that will prepare them for future success.
School Counseling Department Vision
At CICS Wrightwood Elementary, we envision a future where every student emerges as a capable, responsible leader, equipped with the skills, knowledge, and mindset necessary to thrive in an ever-evolving world. Our comprehensive school counseling program fosters an environment that nurtures student ownership, resiliency and a love for life-long learning. Through goal-setting and self-exploration, we empower our students to discover their passions and leave Wrightwood college- and career- ready, ensuring they reach their full potential. We believe in developing students’ abilities to problem-solve and communicate effectively. We strive for excellence academically, socially and emotionally, so that Wrightwood students make a positive impact on their communities and contribute to a better society.
